The first pizzeria in the US opened in The Big Apple in the early 1900s and from that point, it became one of it’s most iconic foods for this city. One of the common misconceptions is that you need to head to midtown or lower to get a good pie. Here is 5 great places grab pizza uptown below.

Bono Trattoria

The consistency of their pizza crust and fresh ingredients are two things I care the most about when grabbing a pizza (and the reason why I never been a huge dollar slice fan).  It had the perfect amount of crunch on the outside but within still airy and didn't taste dry.  The spicy sausage on top of the Calabrese pie along with the fresh mozzarella and basil didn't stand a chance.  I ate the whole pie by myself and did not regret it, nor feel a need share with ANYONE.  You can seriously ask my husband because there was no sharing involved during this dining experience.
