Brunch at PS450
Brunch is a serious matter in New York City, and it’s something we do not take lightly. Honestly, I will go on the record to say no one does brunch better than NYC. I feel like the perfect recipe for a good time at brunch includes good food, great music, beautiful people, and let’s not forget the most important part – unlimited booze. One of my favorite spots in the city that embodies all of these awesome qualities is the infamous PS450. This is my go-to spot for a good time during brunch, or when I have a guest in town and I want to provide them with the ultimate NYC Brunch experience.
PS450 is located at 450 Park South, hence the name, and located in the Midtown area of Manhattan. For those worried about the commute it is easily accessible by at least 4 different train lines which makes it easy to get to via public transportation. PS450 has a very sleek and sexy look to it from the bar area, the lounge, and the large space they have in the back for additional dining. The brunch prefix menu allows you to select one entrée item and your choice of 2 hours unlimited Mimosas, Bellinis, Bloody Marys, Shock Top, or their PS450 House Pilsner. This restaurants serves up American fare with a global twist and is sure to have something that everyone in your brunch party will like. Some of my personal favorites are the hangover fries, breakfast burrito, and the French toast.
This restaurant and bar does a good job of setting the tone for your brunch experience with the help of an awesome DJ that never disappoints. The majority of the time the DJ is spinning Top 40 and Hip Hop, and will guarantee to keep you moving to help burn off those calories you are taking in as well. The servers are very observant in making sure your PERSONAL CARAFE gets filled once it is empty…let me say that again PERSONAL CARAFE! At PS450 they give you an actual carafe, and there is no waiting for someone to fill your glass each time. This is another reason I love PS450 for brunch! PS450 is very firm with their 2-hour limit when it comes to drinking, but normally the server gives you a heads up when you are nearing your time. Once you close out your bill for your meal you are allowed to take your unfinished carafe with you to the back room to continue your mid-day turn. I love PS450 because it is like going to brunch and then heading straight to a Day Party but all in one location.
The cost for their Endless Brunch Prix Fixe for $45 per person. If you have 6 or more in your party are you are able to make reservations, and parties of 15 or more require a family style menu. I have had reservations for myself for my own birthday brunch and I was extremely impressed by how well the Events Department handled my reservations. They were very professional, upfront, and prompt in responses. Brunch hours on Saturday are from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM, and on Sunday 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
PS450 is the place you should add to your list regardless if you are just visiting New York City or if you already reside in this fabulous city.
