Time Out Market in New York City has been open for business since May of this year. This 24,000 square foot area located in the Dumbo section of Brooklyn and is easily accessible by the A, C, and F train or you can utilize the ferry. This massive bi-level development is being dubbed by its creators as a "food and cultural market," which includes 21 eateries, 3 bars, and a rooftop. But why am I telling you MUST visit this food haven? Here are 4 solid reasons why Time Out Market has to be added to your to-do list.

Food

Time Out Market houses 21 eateries ranging from lobster rolls, comfort food, pizza, brunch items, and authentic Mexican fare. The menu items for each vendor was handpicked by the Time Out editorial team (which sounds like a difficult job that I would have willingly taken on. LOL!). At each vendor you will see a board that will feature a couple of highlights from the staff at Time Out. The dining style at this new market is communal table, and there is seating indoors and outdoors. While visiting on a Saturday during peak times, I was still able to quickly grab a seat for two.

Drinks

With 3 bars located throughout this food hall, you will be able to grab a cocktail to accompany your meal from one of the 21 eateries. On the 5th floor of the Empire Stores building is the Time Out bar, and they have an impressive signature cocktail menu. One of their signature cocktails was created by Nacho of Ghost Donkey, which is a stylish cocktail bar located near SoHo. The signature drink is called Lil' Loco and is gin-based. If cocktails are not your thing, then check out their beer and wine list that will please any palette. After grabbing your beverage, make sure to head to the patio and take in the views of Brooklyn and Manhattan.

The Views

I honestly have a love/hate relationship with New York City, and it is more love than hate. One of the moments I fall deeply in love with this fascinating city, is the presence of a breathtaking view. It is quite clear Dumbo has some of the best views with its excellent positioning near the bridge. The view at the rooftop on the 5th floor is impressive and IG worthy.

Have you been to the Time Out Market yet? If so, what did you order?
