INGREDIENTS

  • 3 cups of sifted flour

  • 3 teaspoons of baking powder

  • 1 teaspoon of salt

  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

  • 4 beaten egg yolks

  • 4 beaten egg whites

  • 2 cups of buttermilk (or 1 1/2 cups of buttermilk and 1/2 of regular milk)

  • 1 tablespoon of Canola oil

  • 3 tablespoons of butter

  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

  1. Combine dry ingredients (sifted flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar)

  2. Stir in beaten yolks, milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and oil

  3. Fold in your eggs whites

  4. Head to your waffle maker and get ready to make magic

Prep: 10 mins

Total: 20 mins

Servings: 5 large waffles

I was recently gifted with a copper titanium ceramic waffle maker from Bella Housewares, and it is what I used to make my waffles. The waffle maker was easy to use and not too bulky, which is important for my rather small NYC apartment.
