St. Louis Edition: Strange Donuts

The donut scene in St. Louis has not been the same since Strange Donuts opened its doors in 2013. The founder and owner, Jason Bockman, has created a space where creativity runs wild through daring flavor combinations and collaborations with popular local brands such as Red Hot Riplets and Imo's Pizza. With three brick and mortar locations in St. Louis and a spot in Mexico City, this donut shop is showing no signs of slowing down.

This brand truly embodies all things St. Louis from their gooey butter cake donut to their king cake cinnamon roll. Gooey butter cake is one of the most popular desserts in the Show Me state and St. Louis host the second largest Mardi Gras celebration in the world. Strange Donuts has classics such as glazed, their signature rainbow pony, and jelly-filled donuts for only a dollar. Each week they introduce a Stranger Donut that is a limited time edition that is available from Thursday to Sunday or until they sell out. To all my friends seeking out vegan and gluten-free donuts options, no worries as Strange will be your saving grace.

Outside of offering donuts that will make your stomach dance Strange Donuts has a non-profit called Strange Cares where they give back to the community by empowering children to live out their dreams. Food and purpose? I would say that is a winning combination.
