WHO IS SHE...

Dominek Tubbs is an award-winning food blogger, digital creator, and former James Beard Awards judge based in Harlem, New York City. Since launching Dom N’ The City in 2017, she has carved out her own lane in New York’s dining scene, sharing food, wine, lifestyle, and travel stories that are as approachable as they are inspiring.

Her curiosity about wine led her to earn the WSET Level 2 Award in Wines with distinction. That credential fuels her storytelling around wine, terroir, and pairings. Whether she’s sipping a crisp Finger Lakes Riesling or uncovering a hidden gem restaurant downtown, Dominek brings a fresh lens to every table.

She is passionate about amplifying Black-owned businesses, women-led ventures, and BIPOC entrepreneurs, especially within her Harlem community. Her platform spotlights underrepresented voices alongside the city’s celebrated dining culture.

That authenticity has attracted collaborations with national brands and tourism boards, including Pepsi, Eventbrite, OpenTable, Panera, Choose Chicago, and NYC Tourism. She was named Creator of the Year by Black Women in Food for her impact in the culinary space.

Through her website, social channels, and monthly newsletter The Dom Edition, Dominek offers food and wine lovers an insider’s guide to NYC. She champions inclusivity, storytelling, and exceptional taste at every step.
