Quarantine Buys

I'm bored in the house, and I'm in the house bored. I have resorted to online shopping and buying things to pass the time. I thought I share with you some of my favorite quarantine purchases that have helped me to "cope". Some of these items I had in my home previously but have QUICKLY become favorites during these times.

BAKING SUPPLIES

Anyone else baking up a storm in this pandemic? Judging from the grocery store, EVERYONE is Betty Crocker. I have made countless Funfetti cakes, cookies, and brunch items. I recommend keeping the following in stock:

  • Butter

  • Eggs

  • Granulated White Sugar

  • Brown Sugar

  • Flour

  • Chocolate Chips

  • Milk

  • Vanilla Extract

BOOKS AND MAGAZINES

I have been reading my Food Network magazines, renting FREE e-books for New York Public Library (NYPL), and occasionally picking up a hardback from Target or Amazon.

CHARGING STAND FOR DEVICE

Since we are in the house all day I no longer need a portable charger and only charging my phone once a day, and I decided on a charger station for my AirPods, Apple Watch, and iPhone. Check out the one I ordered from Amazon to help simplify my life and free myself from multiple charging cords.

COFFEE AND CREAMER

Creating a routine during this pandemic allows for some sense of normalcy during this time. I love the Mocha Chocolate ground coffee from Target, and it also comes in the K-cup version as well.

COLORING BOOK AND COLORED PENCILS

Coloring has been one of the most therapeutic activities for me during this time, and one of my first purchases once we were ordered to shelter in place. To see the Amazon link to the colored pencils and books, CLICK HERE.

CANDLES

Keep the vibes in your house lit and well scented.

EMERGEN C

I have been doing my best to get on a healthy sleep schedule, but I needed a little help, and I picked up Emergen-Zzzz that includes Melatonin as a safe sleep aid.

FACE MASKS

Self-care truly comes in many forms, and for me, a good quality face mask to revitalize my skin is a great start. You can pick these up at a local drug store like Walgreens, Target, Ulta, or Sephora.

HEADBANDS

Stop hopping all those Zoom calls looking REAL DRY and sprinkle in some piazza with a chic headband or scarf.

iPad and Apple Pencil

I am looking forward to editing photos on the go, sketching, and upping my content creation with the Apple Pencil and iPad.

JOURNAL

Get those feelings and thoughts out because they are valid during this crazy time. I picked up a Bullet Planner from Flying Tiger right before the pandemic, but you can also grab one on Amazon.

MANICURE KIT AND PRESS ON NAILS

Like many, I had to soak off my dip powder recently and face the fact that a nail salon is NOT an essential business. I'm well stocked up on nail polish remover, buffing blocks, nail files, and nail polish. If all that seems like too much work and want to opt for press-on nails, then check out my friend Mika’s site to find out how you can get your press-on to last longer by clicking HERE.

WATER BOTTLE

I want my skin to flourish during this quarantine period, so I am making sure to stay hydrated with my self-cleaning water bottle created by LARQ.

WIFI EXTENDER

Our wifi was not reaching our second bedroom, which happens to be my office space. We decided to invest in a dual-band Wifi extender, and I am happy to report the one linked below works PERFECTLY!

WINC WINE SUBSCRIPTION

Because what else are you supposed to drink during your virtual happy hours? Winc is a monthly subscription that will send you wine tailored to your taste-buds based on a quick quiz. Get your first box for four wines for $39 and $0 SHIPPING by ordering HERE.
