Crabby Shack In Brooklyn
Imagine listening to Solange, hanging with your girls, grubbing on quality seafood, AND supporting a black-owned business at the same time.
You too can have these awesome BLACK GIRL (or boy) MAGIC MOMENTS with your friends, and these are often the moments I have at The Crabby Shack in Brooklyn. This restaurant has been a favorite of mine for some time, and I have often made the trek from Manhattan to Brooklyn JUST for my seafood fix. They are clearly doing something right at this restaurant because Denzel Washington has been spotted here several times and it's one of his favorites as well. What is good for Denzel is good for me as well!
Fifi and Gwen are the owners of Crabby Shack and this restaurant was created because both of them came from cities where crabs are plentiful, and at the time there was lack of places in NYC. This establishment is the home of the “Clobster roll” which is exactly what it sounds like! It is the best of both worlds on a roll with lobster and crab. Fifi and Gwen have been featured on multiple news stations, Tasting Table, Zagat, and Wendy Williams. HOW YOU DOIN?
Some of their most popular items include the Lobster roll, Crab roll, Mac & Cheese, and Crab legs of course. Their Lobster roll isn't your typical roll that is covered in mayo and instead is seasoned to perfection and a very filling portion. Their sides include corn on the cob, broccoli, and potatoes. Let's talk a little more about theses sides that they serve because they are covered in this special sauce that is similar to what they use for the crab boil. Once you have finished eating your sides, you will find yourself dipping any and EVERYTHING you can see into this sauce.
Drop into Crabby Shack and make sure you leave a comment below if you visit and give me your run down. If you happen to live in the Crown Heights neighborhood, they are available for delivery.
