This Harlem-based business is known for its fudgy and moist brownies and custom cakes, which has ended up in the hand of some who have crowned them the best damn brownies.



Sweet Mae’s Cookies

Stuffed cookies with a thick Southern accent were the one thing we never knew we needed with 10 delicious and unique flavors. Sweet Mae’s cookies include Oreo Red Velvet Cheesecake, Lemon White Chip, and my personal favorite, Carrot Cake. This woman-owned company is based out of Cincinnati, my family’s hometown, and therefore, this company is close to my heart.

Based in Harlem this Midwestern is sharing his culinary love through homeade mini-dish apple and blueberry pies

Blondery was founded by Auzerais Bellamy and offers premium and handmade blondies.

Lee Lee’s Rugelach

Mr. Lee is a Harlem legend because of his rugelach, a popular treat in many Jewish households, and in 2018, Mr. Lee was included in Oprah’s Favorite Things list.


Camella’s Kitchen

Based out of Prince George’s County, MD, Camella’s Kitchen was founded by a mother-and-daughter duo originally from Trinidad and Tobago. One of their specialties is Caribbean fruit cake (black cake). It’s a decadent cake that’s well-preserved with rum and filled with sweet spices. They’re generous with the alcohol, so you know it’s good! Available in both small and large sizes. Kessler Baking Studio

The Kessler Baking Studio is based in Dallas, Texas, and offers a wide selection of cookies, brownies, specialty treats, packaged nuts, and confections. The owner Clyde, or better known as The Bow Tie Baker, was a 2020 James Beard Nominee for Outstanding Baker.

This company offers cookies free of the top 8 allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, wheat, milk, soy, fish, and shellfish) and vegan. Salt N Sprinkles

Founder, Sam, is based out of Los Angles and offers various gluten-free and vegan baked goods. She recently launched a new item, which is her Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars that are only available for pickup in L.A.

Whisk Appeal Bakeshop

I discovered the owner of Whisk Appeal Bakeshop, Jaya, on Twitter, which lead to me discovering her Instagram is a collection of culinary masterpieces. You can find with this North Carolina chef with the contact info found on her IG page!


Mr. Tods

Tod was THE FIRST contestant on Shark Tank and the company caught the eye of the Sharks as they saw the value in his business. Todd hails from New Jersey and offers over pies, cobblers, cupcakes, and more.

Lila-Lue Sweets

Family-owned business out of Nashville, TN that makes whisky-infused treats! The business is named after the owner’s grandmother, Lila who was raised during Prohibition and ran moonshine in the 1950s. Their most popular items are our Whisky Pecan Brownies and Whisky Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies! 

SOUTHERN GIRL DESSERTS

Pecan pie, bundt cake, and oatmeal cookies! All the things my childhood was full, and the woman-owned company ships from Los Angeles.

BCakeNY

This Brooklyn bakery is known for making cakes for JLo, DJ Khalid, Michael B. Jordan, and more. Check out their website to see what items are available for shipping.


MumsKitchens NYC

MumsKitchens NYC is more than just great food; above all MUMS strive to be a cornerstone in the communities they serve; dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming and safe environment for their team and clients who become family.  Every item is baked from scratch no additives no preservatives all made with love.



Lloyd’s Carrot Cake

You cannot do a round-up of Black-owned baked goods without including Lloyd’s Carrot Cake from The Big Apple. They are now shipping nationwide through Goldbelly. The family-owned business has been supplying the NYC area with the PERFECT carrot cake for 30 years.

Pelah Kitchen

Jenneh Kaikai owns and designs cakes at Pelah Kitchen, a micro-bakery in Brooklyn specializing in botanical cake artistry. "Pelah" means "home" in Mende, honoring Jenneh's Sierra Leonean roots. As a self-taught baker, she shares desserts to showcase the diverse flavors and ingredients of the African diaspora.
